An online 12 week program exploring intuition, collaboration between music & movement through the biofield and the spiritual essence of the spine
📍 Online
🗓️ Tuesday September 9th - Tuesday December 2nd
⏰ 11am EST, 12pm Midday Atlantic, 8am Pacific, 4pm in the UK
🪗 What’s Happening?
Join your hosts Colin MacLeod, intuitive fiddle player & Dr. Michelle Greenwell, movement specialist, for their weekly hour class to explore how the body, mind and energy systems help to bring your intuitive playing skills alive.
During our classes, Dr. Michelle Greenwell takes us through a series of Five Element Tai Chi Patterns & Kundalini Rising sequences. Colin's playing, to support these movements, is entirely in the moment and intuitively based.
Through a focus on the biofield and the spiritual essence of the spine, you will also gain knowledge about the nervous system, organ systems, muscles, meridians and elements from the Five Element Theory from Chinese Medicine.
No experience is required for this training. In each of our classes, we learn from each other about ways in which the collaboration of sound and movement supports each of us on our musical journey.
The course expands on Dr. Michelle Greenwell's dissertation and master's thesis work, as a movement specialist, into the field of neuroarts.
🎧 Recording of the full sessions are usually available within 72 hours.

🎻 Saturday, 30th August, Albafeire & Colin MacLeod, Thistlerock Mead Co, nr Charlottesville VA
Last weekend, I had the pleasure of joining with my friends from the Richmond based band, Albafeire, to play a gig at Thistlerock Mead Co near Charlottesville, VA.
Watch the video and what do you notice or feel?
I noticed the sparks of energy from the audience joining in with the band and then two fiddles playing together adding another dimension to the experience of the audience.
Please note that the audience also experienced special moments with each of the members of Albafeire e.g. Ava's fiddle playing, singing & multi-instrumental accompaniment, Dave Kolmer's singing, playing of the bagpipes & multi-instrumental accompaniment and also Dave Braxton's singing & guitar playing.
This event was after taking part in the Music and Movement for Well Being Spring Program and also for the last 3 years, being one of the musicians playing for Michelle's online Tai Chi movement classes.
From a healing perspective, everyone had a really enjoyable time at the event.
Now, compare my playing in the video below. This video was taken in 2018, pre intuitive music training, on a road trip from Florida to Dallas, Texas. You'll notice that I am playing tunes by ear and yes, the music is quite lively.
To me, there is more energy and spontaneity in the video playing with Albafeire, perhaps a hint of intuitive collaboration with the audience aswell.
And if I watch the introductory video at the top of this web page with the playing of in the moment composed music beside the James River, Richmond VA, the intuitive playing element of the voice is present in the video.
I am happy to answer any questions from my own experience of playing intuitively and look forward to the possibility of connecting with you in our Intuitive Musician Training Program shortly.
