Metro Richmond ArtistsThe last session at Rare Olde Times was a great success, and the music returns on the third Sunday in October. Hosted by Dave Kolmer, formerly of the Richmond Celtic band Albafeire — an afternoon of traditional Celtic music in the warmth of a proper neighbourhood pub.
Colin first played alongside Dan and Nancy at a Richmond concert in 2018 — a memorable evening titled ‘The More The Merrier.’ Now they reunite to bring that same warm spirit of Celtic music and community back to Richmond. Come and celebrate a beautiful time of year with live music not to be missed.

This year the School of Celtic Fiddle Mastery, directed by Colin MacLeod, joins forces with the Austin Scottish Country Dance Society to bring Sherwood its first Scottish Fiddle & Dance Flash Mob — on stage and in the lanes on Saturday and Sunday. A 45-minute concert of Scottish and colonial fiddle music tracing Patrick Henry from his Scottish roots to the speech he gave at St. John's Church at the Second Virginia Convention in March 1775. Henry was a fiddler, and playing by ear may have shaped how he spoke without notes: from the heart, not the page.
Tickets are sold by Historic St. John's Church. Concert ticket-holders are let back into the church from about 2:30 PM.
