🎶 A musical journey through the Scottish landscape

Step into an hour-long Celtic Sound Experience that blends meditation, imagination and live fiddle.

Guided by Colin MacLeod — founder of the School of Schlottish Fiddle Mastery — this session uses the expressive voice of the fiddle to evoke the memories of the lochs, glens, mountains, coastal winds, and the pulse of ancient rhythm.

This is not a concert. It’s a restful, immersive sound journey designed to help you relax, recharge, and open the next part of your day with a clearer, quieter mind.

What to expect:

Live, guided sound journey using Celtic fiddle textures and subtle atmospheric tones.

Meditative environment: lights low, audience invited to lie or sit comfortably. No applause during the experience.

Length: ~75 minutes (a gentle arrival, ~45–50 minutes of continuous soundscapes, then time to land and reorient).

Outcome: deep relaxation, creative replenishment, and a gentle emotional release — you may leave feeling calm, inspired, or simply rested.

What to bring / how to prepare

Yoga mat, blanket, or large towel (you’ll want to lie or recline comfortably).

Cushion or bolster for neck/knee support.

Water bottle.

Eye mask or light cover (optional) for deeper rest.

Wear comfortable layers — Soulshine Studios can be cool when lying still.

Arrive 10–15 minutes early to set up and settle in.

👤 About the Artist

Known as “The Celtic Fiddle Guru,” Colin is the founder of the School of Schlottish Fiddle Mastery — an online academy that blends Scottish fiddle and classical technique into an ear-led, heart-led approach. From his first bow at age seven to adventures around the world (serenading elephants in Sumatra and performing over Mt. Everest),

Colin’s work celebrates music as a living, connective force.

He brings a family-rooted ceilidh tradition and a storyteller’s sensibility to the Celtic Sound Experience — offering music that is at once ancient and deeply personal.

Schlottish = a blend of Scottish fiddle & Classical violin styles.

Is this a concert?

No. While live music is central, the session is designed as a meditative, participatory experience ce, not a performance to watch.

Do I need musical experience or to be quiet

No musical experience necessary. Soft breath sounds and small movement are normal — the environment encourages gentle stillness but is welcoming and non-judgmental.

FAQ image

Can I lie down?

Yes — most people recline or lie on mats. If you prefer to sit, that’s perfect too.

FAQ image

Is the event suitable for everyone?

The experience is gentle and accessible for most adults. If you have specific health concerns, contact Jan at Soul Shine Studios beforehand so we can suggest adaptations.
